Useful global corporate histories

This volumes covers plenty of US, European and Asian companies as corporates histories with a special focus on the evolution of their distinct corporate cultures and global brand development. Pitfalls are seen in the failed mergers of Daimler-Chrysler and BMW Rover when both corporate cultures did not match and their different brands produced no synergies. Other case stories concern global operators as varied as Sony, Fiat, Spruengli-Lindt, Kikkoman, Lego, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Mars, Nike and the failed attempts of Seibu Season, etc.. This readable volume does not use the usual management hype, but supplies a good amount of straight forward corparate narrative, often not available in English.
